what would be the best pants to go with this in keeping with the look? without looking like a dungaree dynamo wearing in period repro jeans to match a jean shirt?
thanks for any help :)
Hello, I'm sad to say that the great taxman in the sky dictates that I tighten my belt, hence I need to sell some of my schtuff.
I'm selling my french blue back belted Magnoli Chinatown suit on ebay this week, along with a bunch of other interesting items, but hopefully the Chinatown suit...
there's an amazing lp called Wild & Frantic, put out by the wilderness label, it's a white label and I'm sure from europe/uk and probably all bootleg material but it includes Pretty Boy and Billy Lamont and 2 full sides of the most out of control screamin dance party music this side of anywhere...
Oh yeah? I will take a better picture when I get home then, is there any kind of online guide for Union Tag updates over the years? I -think- it says under the "of" of "Workers of" 1939, but i could be mistaken... a crisp high res picture will be posted soon, thanks a ton for your help! :D
Well I look forward to your opinion on the material next time we see each other then! Union Tag and cut is one thing, but I just can't identify the fabric, it's like no 30's suit material I've ever felt. :eusa_doh:
Purple Knif!?!?
Stay Sick Already!
Only on bootleg versions as I'm a youngin'! But I do have Ghoulardi hosting Island of Lost Souls & Brain From Planet Arous!
thank you! It's a very strange material though! It almost feels like a sport jersey material! that's not the best connection, but I'm not sure what to compare it to otherwise... :eusa_doh:
I agree! I'm a complete fan of the Laemmle-run Univeral. the Wolfman's already when the company got handed over the money men, although it still succeeds.
I'm a firm believer in the golden age era of films, but if remakes were outlawed, you would never have Whale's Frankenstein or Invisible...
This is great! I would LOVE a suit like this! The tailor had the tweed on hand or did you find it and order it yourself? I love the fit of the vest, this looks really good! Congratulations! Do you mind if I ask how much it ran you..?
i have one of these & i love it! the sleeves are too long, but if you cuff them it, in my eye, quite resembles a golden age sweater and it's nice and warm!
Old Time Radio! As in radio dramas from the golden age of radio! Which makes no sense referring to your (dead on) suit so it must have a second meaning too :p
