Reeks, you'll be fine with lightweight. It's not light in the sense of silk, but tougher than cotton and strangely cooler too. I certainly wouldn't want anything heavier.
Weathered Grant is perfect for brown and cordovan, by the way. I have it in a couple of jackets and love it.
Just do like women do and say it was a real bargain but you've forgotten the ridiculously low price.
I'm always impressed by my wife's ability to kit herself out in quality labels that cost "next to nothing". I'm a bit disappointed that she can never find her credit card statements though...
Looking good Fanch. I just sold my woefully small Heavy Americans on eBay, losing half my money and 3 months wasted time. If there's a next time I'll go up two sizes.
Good and interesting response from Phil. Going back to what might have been your original point many pages ago, I just noticed some very light touches of brown coming through a 3 month old black FQHH. Can't say I'm bothered though, as it adds to the look.
Aerojoe, I meant so-called true to size was pretty huge, but I think these M, L etc sizes cover a couple of chest sizes. As it's a warm jacket, you probably won't be wearing more than two thin layers underneath, so XL should be plenty for you.
I actually sold mine as I got a TNF McMurdo parka...
I'm with the OP on getting rid of it. If it doesn't feel right to him there will always be doubt and chances are it'll lie around or get flipped anyway.
These boots remind me of my Hawthorn IRs, without the toe cap, but these are a lot dearer.
Dainite would be my sole of choice. More practical than leather, but less in-yer-face than vibram. I have only one pair with them, unfortunately.
Now we're back to you having ordered the wrong type of leather if it's colour-fastness you want. Please think seriously about goat, as you won't need to worry about fading and adding additives then.
The rule of thumb is that if you've any doubt, things won't get any better and you'll end up...
I'd be very careful about your sleeve length then. I'm 5'11" and had 26.5" on my Teamster (previous regime) which were simply too long. I got 0.75" taken off recently and they're still pretty long.
It also depends on the true shoulder cut/width, as if that's wide then you'll look like a gorilla.
I've noticed on the Insurrection thread that many (most?) sleeve lengths seem cut for riding, as the guys seem to be bunching up when they pose. They look overly long when when just standing, and God knows I like long sleeves.
