Cindy,
Somehow I missed this thread when it started and I am just now reading about Daniel's condition. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Please tell Daniel hello for me and let him know he is in my thoughts.
Take care,
Mike
Nik,
Thanks. His noggin shot compared to the one of the hat alone really shows the difference. Even though it is not the almond tan I was looking for I think it makes a great Open Road clone.
Hat Process
Tim is making me a new hat and has been sending me pictures of the process along the way. I thought everybody might enjoy seeing these pictures and all the work that goes into making a new hat. The hat is a dressweight silverbelly with a 5 3/4" crown and a 2 3/4" brim. We haven't...
Nik,
Robert's and JauntyOne's pictures do look very light colored. Beautiful hats though.
The next to last picture of the ivory Open Road style hat is the picture that caught my attention. In that photo it looks like the older tan Open Road color I was wanting.
I do have felt samples but I...

Yes, you can. They are very aggressive though and can kill a dog. You really don't need to track them though. They will come to deer corn almost instantaneously.
Nik,
Thanks for your response. The pictures of ivory on the VS website look like it has a slight tan or brownish hue to it where the silverbelly has a grey tint to it. Is that just my monitor or do you see that too? Thanks.
Does anybody have a silverbelly and an ivory hat from Art? If so, could you post a picture of them together? I'm trying to see the difference in the two colors. I have several of his silverbellys and was thinking of getting an ivory for my next hat. Thanks!
Great looking OR, gdurand! Nice to see someone actually use their wind trolley.
Tom, feral hogs in south Texas are a real nuisance. They can destroy acres of farmland in one night. You can hunt them year round here. They have even made it legal to hunt them out of a helicopter.
I guess I'm in the minority. I didn't think the final episode was very good. It felt like it was rushed and disconnected because of all the different plot lines it had to cover.
