Tom, feral hogs in south Texas are a real nuisance. They can destroy acres of farmland in one night. You can hunt them year round here. They have even made it legal to hunt them out of a helicopter.

I love Cinci, and spent a lot of time down there during my college and law school days - even though I went to school in Cleveland. Most of my friends went to school to be engineers or graphic designers and, like me, many have since taken other paths. I still make the trip down to the 'Nati every now and then, and it does seem like a "now" is in order, as the "then" has been a while.

Do you track those pigs with a dog?

Yes, you can. They are very aggressive though and can kill a dog. You really don't need to track them though. They will come to deer corn almost instantaneously.

Those summery pictures has me yearning for warmer days as autumn fades to winter.

Not a Fedora, but a couple of cheap sun hats that my daughters bought in France. This picture was taken as we travelled to the Chateau d'Apremont in the Vendee via pedalo!

Just curious as to where the photo was shot. The plaque appears to be in a cyrillic alphabet & the 1st line transliterated to English looks something like "LEONID UTESOV" (hard to make out).

Wow, Viclip, you've got a good eye. Leonid Utyosov was a Soviet jazz singer and actor. His jolly statue is in de Ribas park, at the end of Deribosavskaya street in Odessa, Ukraine.

Mostly bird watching. Everyone was trying to get to Napa or Sonoma or home from Thanksgiving so we just pulled off the road and took a hike.
