Feraud, sorry if I spoiled the final episode for you. Maybe I'm wrong and you may feel differently. I just think they had too many loose ends to tie up in one final episode and did a poor job of doing so.
Thanks. I have one coming soon and he has seen pictures but he prefers to try a hat on before buying one because of his size. He is between a 7 7/8 and an 8 and has a hard time finding hats in his size. I wonder if Stetson is even making these new hats in such a large size. Maybe Jeff or Besdor...
Very cool Wormser. I agree with Tom though, it reminds me more of a Stratoliner than an Open Road. Of course there is not much difference between the two but with "Airliner" stamped on the sweat I think they were trying to compete with the Stratoliner.
However, I have a black Wormser that is...
Doug,
I misunderstood you. I thought you found a store in a Houston that had some in stock.
I hope you are going to show yours to Abe. It will be interesting to hear his comments:)
I'm surprised nobody has commented yet about the final episode. Maybe everybody is still in shock so I'll go first.
I was extremely disappointed. I thought it was a horrible ending to a great season.
I have two of Tim's hats and another on the way. If you decide to have Tim make you a hat I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. Besides being a great hatter he also happens to be a great guy.
Here is another Argentina pistol. This is a Colt Sistema made in 1950. The blueing on this pistol is beautiful. Argentina had great taste in pistols...Colt 1911-A1's and Browning Hi-Powers.
Atticus, beautiful lever guns. The Model 94 is one of my all time favorite rifles. I have several of them I have collected over the years in 30-30 and 32 Winchester Special. My oldest one was made in 1926. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of them.
Mike, beautiful Hi-Power! The blueing on...
Very unusual liner on your Stetson, Historyteach. The "Last Drop" part of the liner looks like 1960's. It almost looks like somebody took a "Last Drop" liner and sewed a new side to it. Do you have any photos of the sweatband?
Howard,
Personally I prefer walnut or ivory grips on my 1911's but of the two sets you posted I like the second set. However, the second set does not cover the plunger tube. The first set does cover the plunger tube. I prefer the left grip panel to cover the tube. That may not matter to you...
