I wouldn't say that... As I said, WW2 Impressions's P-41 are widely believed to be the best out there and are praised by many, many reenactors. And they're "only" 120USD a piece:

My ATF may not be the best there is...
You're welcome! With the scorching heat we've been encountering for the last month and a half, they are really comfortable to wear. As I said, let's see how they'll hold up!
The perfect military trousers that looks like civilian ones, love 'em! As I said, you should have a look at WW2Impressions, they have a reputation for being the best there is.
@Mich486 @dudewuttheheck Thanks folks! Those are ATF P41 trousers. They're out of stock and not planning to do more because of a new USMC policy... I suggest checking with WW2Impressions, they are not cheap, but are the best out there!
One more pic of the ATF P41 trousers! (With a homemade...
Received my Colchester 1892 High Top sneakers today. Great summer shoes, classical but still not your usual Converse sneakers. They feel way more comfortable, mostly due to the built-in arch and cushioned insole. I don't know about their claim of being "the world's first sneakers", and to be...
A couple pictures taken Saturday of my new Aero B-10. Strangely, the color in the pictures is brownish, while it's a dark olive in person. The temperature was around 20°C, so I just popped it for the pictures and quickly hang it back when we were done! :D
@Big J , your last post is very true. You got the fit you received from the Quartermaster, and that's it. I think there's no point in stating that there was a "correct period fit", as we've all seen WW2 pictures with fit all over the range, from trim (even slim) to blousy or baggy. IMO, the...
Well I think we all know the fit depends on the maker/contract anyway. I didn't interpret CBI's rant as one against the manufacturer's fit, but more against the fit people want out of their A-2 jacket. A lot of WW2 pictures show guys with jacket that'd be considered one size too big on this...
Depends on the Eastman contracts. The Rough Wear 1401-P and 27752 and the Star Sportswear in size 44 have 46 inches chest. Similarly, those in size 46 have 48 inches chest. So if CBI is a 44 chest and wants these extra 4 inches, he would have had to go with a size 46 on these ELC contracts too.
Wasn't it Einstein who said something along "get one good leather jacket and you won't need anything else for years"?
@torfjord , thinking about it, if those couple pictures make you decide to go the jerly way, I think it's one of the biggest compliment that could have been said, thanks!
