Kirk, great looking Model 10. The T-Grip looks right at home on it.
Deacon, I have to confess to owning several Glocks myself. I can't seem to pass up a Second Generation Glock when I run across one in good condition. I prefer that generation without the finger grooves or light rail.
Great looking hat, SpeedRcrX. The sweatband on yours looks different than what Art normally uses. May just be the photo. It looks very nice though.
Have you weighed yours? I haven't bought a scale yet so I'm curious. Without a liner and a short brim I bet yours is really light.
Here it is in a basic teardrop style crease. It also looks good in a Cattleman's crease but because of the mid-width ribbon I decided to leave it in this crease. The felt is so light there is no need for any steam when creasing it but a little steam does help hold the crease in place. Once...
I agree. Great looking hat, Michael!
John, the 2 5/8" brim on mine might look a little short because of my extra long oval block. I'm going to try and takes some pics of it creased and will post them later today.
Thanks everybody. I appreciate your compliments.
Art, I can certainly understand your cause for excitement. I have an older Portis "Lite Wate" that I thought was light until I pick this up out of the box.
I don't have a scale to weigh mine but I might see about buying one. What do you guys use...
Just picked it up this morning. Haven't had time to do anything with it but snap a few pictures. The vintage felt is incredibly lightweight. You don't even know you have a hat on your head! The color is Pearl, which when I compare it to Art's felt samples is similar to his Silvermist. It has a...
Alan, beautiful hat!
ytt, great find! I don't think I have ever seen an older Borsalino in such a large size. I really like the mid width ribbon and tip sticker.
Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm sorry the pictures don't show the color better. It is a very cool color. Unfortunately it is a tad small for me so I've never worn it because I don't want to stretch it.
John, I have another Resistol San Antonio that has a similar sweatband to the picture...
Been great so far. However, I wanted Chalky to finish off Dr. Narcisse. I sure hope they don't let the doctor get out alive! He is one of the best villains ever. The actor who portrays him is fantastic in that role.
I looked at my older Resistols and the only "Melorol" I have is a 1960's Resistol San Antonio. The felt on this one is very nice. It is thinner and more lightweight than the felts on my other older Resistols. All my other Resistols have "Self Conforming" on the sweatband but not "Melorol". I...
