Late to the show....but Esther is dead on with the taupe recommendation!! It very much DOES reflect the colors around it and is one of the most versatlle colors you will ever wear. Brown when you need brown, grey when you need grey.........this was a color the hat companies used a lot in the... -

What hat are you waiting for today?
I think of you every time I see one now (which is not all that often)! I have (will have) two now.....ONE which will fit. The other is really nice with a unique ribbon. It does not fit (too small):( but I cannot seem to part with it......:rolleyes: you can bet if I run into one that is too... -

Hatbox Homage
As an update, I have since found (and was alerted by a couple of fellow loungers) that both the box and hat are from the 1950's and hence are earlier than I suspected. The hat indeed is really nice felt.....great soft hand. M:) -
Stetson Stetsonian
I too am looking for the light grey. They were one of the first produced and apparently in limited numbers.....I have five altogether, one of each color (except the Lt. grey) with an extra one in the tawny that I got at the outlet for a "price I could not refuse".:rolleyes:;) M:) PS one of... -
When is it ok to wear a navy blue hat like a Fedora or Homburg? What about black?
As a bmp......these ads talked the do's and don'ts of hat wearing.... And Stetson had a whole series in the 1940's and 1950's about what clothes to wear with your new Stetson... And I have many more posted here... -
