You are better off with a new one if for formal events. Unless you luck across a nice fur felt the old silk hats are generally too deteriorated and/or fragile to actualy wear.....silk does not age well with many environmental factors working hard to destroy it. Heck even the silk trimmings on...
ME TOO, the world is your oyster when you are a 7 1/4 or less!!!! LOT's of great hats available AND at reasonable prices!!! Where is a witch Doctor when you need one?!?!?!?!:eek::rolleyes:;)

I would have liked that hat for several reasons...especially as i am from Illinois...BUT...I did not even enter the fray as I NEVER thought it would sell so reasonable...I have a really BAD track record on the Bay with hats like that.....I seem to just raise the bar for the seller without...
Darn shame..........I certainly understand......nothing more frustrating........ESPECIALLY when you go to the bother to ask about the dimensions and the seller just cannot get it right:eek:.........I was quite unawares just how many people just cannot use a measuring tape or ruler.:rolleyes:o_O...
