Yep, it really is a no thrill jacket, but i don't find the pattern as comfortable as what i got used to with my J-23 and LT. It feels a bit more restrictive, i think it's not as well designed as my other two.
In wear the J-23 and the LT are almost like my Langlitz, they just disappear, you...
I enquired yesterday and was told mine was still around 8 weeks out... Plus a week shipping, so that's around 20th of July, which is great jacket weather!
But i got my CHP last week and have been pretty much living in it.
I don't like it as much as i like the J-23 or the Leathertogs A, but it is...
I fond my 60s one on eBay, for me it was just a question of spending the time and waiting for the right one to turn up for sale. Mine was owned by a radioman and is pretty much in mint condition, it looks like it was barely worn.
Sizing varies quite a bit between contractors i think, so make...
Wait, are they suggesting that "fine creeking" straps and epaulettes only gains you man points if you cut them off using a vintage pocket knife?
I hope @Hh121 knew about that, would have been a shame to use the wrong knife and miss out on all the extra masculinity...
I have similar thickness miss match on my Lee Storme rider, one of the front panels is much much thinner than the rest of the jacket.
It doesn't really bother me because it is a "cheap" mass produced jacket and i got it for a great price, but if i received something like that from an upper tier...
Thing is leather tailors around here are much more expensive than what you most likely pay, they are also not that common.
In London i can only think of Cromford Leather, they are IMO not very good. They tapered a Schott leather jacket for me and did an average job, a few empty stitch holes...
You are indeed correct, seeing your fit pic i wrongly assumed we were talking about the one going around the shoulder and attaching the sleeve to the body, not the one going from neck to shoulder, my bad.
I know it's not really within budget, but IMO your best bets are probably Lewis Leathers and Vanson.
They both have experience fitting ladies, whcih is not something that can be said about most makers we usually discuss on this forum.
My GF has a Lewis Leathers and an Aero, she never wears the...
Hi Welcome,
Short answer is i don't think that jacket exists.
The shortest vintage perfectos were made with 23-24" backs back in the days, today the standard is 25-26"
If you look at this 90s sizing chart for a Schott 613SH, even the size 32 has a 24" back:
It seems ladies version have a...
It does make a massive difference, but only once you get up to speed of 50-60mph and you don't have a windshield to deflect the wind over you.
When riding without a windshield or a windflap, wind will push through the zipper and your back will turn into a giant flopping baloon, it creates a lot...
