I once posted that I hated The Night of the Hunter, and I got cyber-lynched! lol I tend to agree with this comment on IMDb:
It was a bad movie. There, I said it.
I'm not uncomfortable with a good debate, and I don't shy away from discussions like this - Quite the opposite. I just didn't (and still don't) understand what it had to do with the original post. Now that the subject matter is back on track, we can all move on.
To my mind, its these...
Yep, looks like we were having some trouble. All better now!
I do like the Glenn Miller-esque arrangement better, but I'm not having much luck finding the band who did it. I heard the very same one on Coronation Street some time ago, so it must exist lol
Thanks so much!
I hate remakes.
The movie wasn't true to-the-letter to the book, but it was done admirably. They will probably have to change the make of the car altogether, because the Fury wouldn't be something 17 year old Arnie would find at the side of the road in 2011. If he did, he sure wouldn't have...
I use thinning shears myself to trim my hair, and it really does make a difference. When the hair is lighter, especially at the ends, the curl comes out better.
I'm fascinated by his technique - He appears to be wielding the razor recklessly, but the cuts come out beautifully!
I don't know... Whether the quasi-political discussion in this thread is toeing the line or not, its certainly not related to the original topic. And, quite frankly, it makes me uncomfortable.
I am not American, and neither are many of the posters in this thread. I think the OP's intention...
But a very dapper thumb! Hooray for hold outs :D
Not only that, but they are extremely accomplished men who have gone to the Supreme Court! That district of Toronto is full of snappy dressers too, so it was odd to me. (PS, I adore Stratford.)
I was thinking that myself. This city has...
The last time I let my hair grow out was when I was 16, and had bleached it into oblivion. My mother forbade me to colour it again, so I let it go until the damaged portion was roughly 4 inches from my scalp - Then I chopped it off.
Like kamikat says, avoid any heat styling (which encourages...
Which is not charming! I personally abide by the tried and true method: Don't flirt with men you aren't interested in, and if you are, be fascinated by every word he says. :)
That is awful! A textbook case of assault. Don't ever let these bullies intimidate you. Staring them in the eyes...
Slightly OT: I'm crazy about this song:

...but I've searched high and low and cannot find the name of it. If anyone could tell me, I'd really appreciate it :)
I've had experiences (and known many women who did as well) with men who lashed out if I didn't accept an invitation, though I'm habitually nice about it. Maybe this is in the same vein. Thanks for the insight :)
The vintage look may seem high maintenance to today's man, who spends next to...
Thanks for posting the modifications, I am in love with the hat too! After I finish my new cloche, I'm definitely making it.
PS, I'm lusting after your shoes!
I feel the exact opposite! I'd like it if a man actually talked to me, instead of just staring or yelling out "Hey look, its Betty Boop!!" (which really quite embarrasses me.)
By "talking," I don't mean some cheesy line, either (do men really think they work?) If a well dressed man approached...
I think you're right. A man taking care of his appearance these days includes hair gel and tanning, maybe a shave... If its a special occasion. The lawyers I work with wear suits and ties to court, but when they're around the office, they dress in shorts and t-shirts, even if it isn't Friday...
