Bona Fide or Bona Phony- Cowhide Trojan Jacket?

It does, basically a handwarmer D pocket, i have seen it done on a few modern japanese jackets, pretty sure i saw modern Harley Davidson jackets with that setup too...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

That one was a bit much for me, can't wait to see what it looks like on you. Please let us know what The Polskanator says about that one!

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

If his face is so disturbing to you why don't you just add him to your ignore list and stop complaining about seeing it?

Bona Fide or Bona Phony- Cowhide Trojan Jacket?

The zig zag edges on the leather patch that the label is stitched on screams "modern" to me, I have never seen that done on a vintage jacket. Secondly, as @JMax said the tag looks off, my LW trojan has a . (full stop) behind the word "calif", this one doesn't have it. Can someone with the Rin...

    Button placement on cuffs

The progression went: full belt>half belt back with removable front belt>half belt with side cinches>half belt no cinches. Here is an example of the removable front belt: http://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/product-detail.php?id=1471

    Button placement on cuffs

I guess it's the same as buttonned sleeves on suits, they started out functional, then someone one day decided he could save a few bucks by just having decorative buttons and not bother making them functional anymore. Nowadays it's pretty much impossible to buy a suite with functional button...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I heard there were people on internet that spend hours on forums talking about zippers and stitching and leather... If these people really exist online they must exist in the real world too no?

22" back length, that has to be a record! Interresting padlock shaped Buco zipper pullers, never seen those before.

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

It has been for sale at that price for more than 6 months, pretty sure you could offer less and get it...

    Fs vintage schott steerhide perfecto

Here is the official sizing chart for the Schott 613: Personally i don't think a 46 would work better, it would have the same back length, 0.5" extra in the sleeves which you don't need, and 1" extra width everywhere which you don't need. I think for you this size is as good as it gets....

    Hanging jackets on a wall.

Cool idea, but that would entail either visible cables, or having to channel the wall to hide them, i am not a fan of having to channel the wall for that, and i don't want visible cables...

    Camera Flash and Leather Jackets

Disclosure, i am not a pro photographer. I think if you left your jacket in a room getting flashed 1000 times a day for the next 10 years you might have a problem, but i don't see the odd photo shoot here and there causing a problem. There is a difference between the Mona Lisa getting flashed...

    Jacket's Trading Guidance?

I guess you could both send each other a pic of yourself holding the jacket in hand, with today's paper and a picture of your passport.

    Jacket's Trading Guidance?

I kinda agree with you, but i would only do that with known members. These two guys are both brand new, and have no way of knowing the other guys isn't just going to run away with their jackets... I understand the conundrum.

    Hanging jackets on a wall.

That's a sweet rack! I hesitated between copper/brass and going plain steel like you have chosen, it really looks cool too. Hanging them my way would definitely take more room, but the goal is to have the jackets on display, not just to store them. The plan is to have 12 "chosen ones" that hang...

    Hanging jackets on a wall.

Julie Leitch is actually on her 10th clone, a leather worker cannot survive more than 1000 jackets before the toxic fumes become deadly...

    Hanging jackets on a wall.

How is everyone at Aero, Vanson, Langlitz, etc not dead from spending all day surrounded by leather jackets? If it was that bad the life expectency of people selling leather goods would be affected...

    Hanging jackets on a wall.

The house was built in 1850-1875, so the wall is prety old... I actually have one single bolt per anchorage point going into the wall, but two screws holding the pipe clamp shut. The average wall plug the correct size is rated for 25kg in brick, i will have 7 anchor points, so 175kg hold...

    Hanging jackets on a wall.

Would 1% UV be worth worrying about? Would that not be a ridiculously small amount compared to say riding with your back to the sun an entire day? It's not like we get 100% even coverage in everyday life whilst wearing them. Inside facings for example never get any direct sunlight on them and...

    Hanging jackets on a wall.

Anti UV film will be applied on the windows, it blocks 99% of UV light and prevents all fading of art, fabrics, etc.
