Choice of lining for a cross-zip jacket
I would say i agree. IMO wool isn't a great liner for a leather jacket, it is often not warm enough or too hot. I find i wear my cotton lined jackets far more often than i wear my wool ones. If it is 15C, i am going to wear a T shirt and a cotton lined leather jacket, wool lined would be too...- Carlos840

IMO you are looking for something that doesn't exist. No lining that is warm enough for (3-5C) will work at (15-20C) Wool will be good down to 5C but it will turn your jacket into a sweat suite above 15C. Cotton will be good up to 15C but you will be cold at (3-5C) Basically you need one jacket...- Carlos840

I'm not sure using Ken as an example is the best comparison one can make. You don't have to spend a long time on JLJ to see Ken is constanly crapping on other makers and putting his brand on a non deserved (IMO) pedestal.- Carlos840

You have both ignored the "natural material" in my post... I am aware of leather's limitations as a material, it's just that i don't wear "plastic" if i can avoid it. That doesn't leave much choice as far as a waterproof/windproof shell/jacket goes. I have worn jackets made from wool, cotton...- Carlos840

Personally i have never thought of what i wear as an outfit, to me each part is just there because it is the most functional choice. To me the difference is between "show clothing" and "functional clothing"... We might not be wearing these fancy jackets to show off, but we wear them for what they look like.
