Does anyone have any more info on the jacket itself? When it was released? What if’s based on? Was it a Japanese release etc..? I only ask because I honestly don’t remember seeing it anywhere. Came across another similar jacket on eBay while looking at this one that I don’t recall. Must have been very limited releases, I was sleeping and missed them, or Japanese only.

Hey there whats the story on the Schott 628us? I dont recall seeing it before and it looks super nice. Do you know when it was released, was it a collab(other than with Horween obviously ha) or a Japanese special? Thanks!

It’s a Japanese special. It’s super nice but cut a bit trim for my taste. Real limited run from a few years back I believe !

Thank You! It looks like one of the best Schotts Ive seen in recent years. Really nice. A bit too big for me, but now I know to keep my eye out for one in my size. GLWS. Youve had some really cool stuff up for sale...I just wish we were the same size!

The 628US and the recent Perfecto are the best things they've ever done. This leather isn't the regular Horween, it's something apparently nicer Schott sourced for these jackets. All in all, this is as good as it gets. You wouldn't happen to have the recent 613 in this leather, would you?

Which 613 exactly...the P613S? Have you ever handled or seen the 628US in person Monitor? I trust your opinion on Perfectos. I would love to see this one. Not that theres a difference between horse and steer really, but Im surprised the 628US isnt horse as it seems the Japanese market is all about the horse.

No, never, just read a lot about it. Some Blogs say it's veg tanned Horween, others it's CX. Whatever it is, it looks brilliant. There's a lot more grain to it than regular CX.

Oh wow....whatever that is, its on a different level for Schott and even Horween themselves. You are absolutely correct that is an end game piece. The 628US here is also as far as Schotts go. Now I really wish I were your size after looking at these. Ill have to keep my eyes peeled on ebay and grailed. Although I can only imagine if they come up there they will cost a fortune.

I would agree it looks like the same leather. Which again makes me hate Im not the same size as him, and I hope us going back and forth here has made this jacket even more wanted, because it should be. Its something special and rare and whoever gets it would be in for one sweet deal!
