Tea core is actually pee core?!! LOL. If nothing else the guy is consistent. I guess with Stu you either laugh with him or at him. I’m sure he doesn’t care either way.
Very interesting to compare his views to other makers like Ken and Dave H. Stu’s brand of over the top confidence smacks of insecurity to me. I’ve always felt that if you can’t compliment your competition, it means you fear them.

Yeah well I don't remember ever reading those guys were collecting women so I wouldn't bet on who's afraid of who here...

I'm not sure using Ken as an example is the best comparison one can make.
You don't have to spend a long time on JLJ to see Ken is constanly crapping on other makers and putting his brand on a non deserved (IMO) pedestal.

In fairness I don’t read VLJ. I suppose all makers do this to some extent. There’s just something extra pompous in Stu’s word soup. At least to my ears. Not to discredit his work or the finished product, they are exceptional no doubt.

Taking jabs at other makers is one thing but constantly crapping on your entire market is another. Couldn't pass taking a dump on Tokyo even thought they only got the Japanese to thank for still being in business.

What's with the constant disparaging of forums and fans like us? Who the hell else is expected to buy his multi-thousand dollar jackets? Christ, extensive research and indeed, interest in fashion is the only way to even get to LW as I don't think random people just wake up one day and decide they're gonna drop $2K on a brand they never heard about.

Owns a company that's making exclusively hipster clothes and then complains about hipsters and fashionistas? Come on, man, get off your high horse...

Dude, we're literally all you got.

At VLJ everyone is crapping on everything and everybody.
I don't see any posts there like @El Marro post, sharing a photo of himself wearing a badass leather jacket while being on the job, with a big smile on his face :D
We need more posts like that :)

Exactly the point about customers. Talking smack against competitors is one thing. There obviously is a line of how far is too far and what is in good fun, or humor and whats just plain wrong or mean. Thats a different topic and a moving line to be honest. The issue Ive always had with Stu is his shit talking of potential customers. His dictating what kind of person buys/deserves a LW product. What kind of manly caveman, chest beating, alpha male are the only ones allowed his most superior products. I find that beyond judgmental and alienating. It almost makes me embarrassed for him. but to @ton312 point not to take away from his products at all. He makes incredible, amazing, insert whatever high praise adjective you want. LWs reputation for making killer, long lasting jackets is quite deserved. I just see his crappy 1996 website and the hyperbolic language and have always thought you may be targeting a super specific subgroup of customer....but thats all your targeting. You are literally making fun of 90% of the possible market for your product. Oh well Im done rambling and venting. Thanks for posting for the group.

My response was somewhat a jest, But I do believe I will list my Trojan this week and will PM you and give you 1st right of refusal.
Cool. I wear 44-48 depending on pattern and maker. I believe Trojan is slightly roomier pattern than for example LW J-23 or Leather togs.
