Welcome Great White North!
I just used a strong contact adhesive, but it does set hard. Not too much of a problem but I reckon Alan's recommendation of 'Shoo Gloo' sounds a lot better, as it stays flexible.
As for strength, the test repairs on the old BSA Irvin are holding up well... and...
You wear it well BK! Perfect fit, and a great looking jacket! I love the later jackets with the shaggy looking sheepskin.
Look forward to more pics...
BTW, is it the Coastal Command Irvin I spotted on ebay very recently?....
That makes perfect sense! The 'BSA' Irvin, while not black, is very dark as well. Maybe that's had a coat of something in the past... Don't think it will catch on now though, in Irvin circles I believe Brown is the new Black...
I wasn't sure about using glue, but read of a few good results...
what hole...?
Well done James! And just in time for Christmas...;)
I've been playing with my early Christmas present from Alan. Now you see it...

I've been a member for several years, but since I got my VW Kombi on the road I've taken much more of a back seat with it. I only manage to do a couple of rides a year now with my local Hampshire section.

Hey Luddite, I've just sold one of those kiddie crossbar seats on ebay!
Haven't got a decent picture here of it in action though... Fun to use but the stirrups flap around a bit too much. Bought for a tenner, spruced up, used for a few rides, sold for a tenner... :D

accessorise your cap!
Going through some photos from last year, found these gems I thought deserved a spot here...
Taken on Boxing day last year, at a vintage rally in Wickam Square. I have no idea who this chap was, but loved the way he accessorised his great driving cap!

Well that's my experience from working on an old...

Cheers Dean! I thought about putting these up in the cap faction, but I think they deserved their own thread!
BTW, you seem to have involved me and fellow lounger Mikepara in a head on collision...;)
