"The Sicilian Clan" which I watched last night. Great 60s stuff, very stylish and atmospheric. The only downside is the now-ridiculous caper/theft in the second half of the movie, but everything else, including the ending, is outstanding.
HOLY SPOILERS BATMAN!
It's looking great visually, but on the other hand, the more material that gets released the more it appears this new film will be based on one of those "this could change everything" plotlines, with some single key thing determining the fate of history and whether...
I prefer the darker ending of the Director's Cut, where Deckard and Rachel flee his apartment, which keeps the tension of the rest of the movie, but I really dislike the added unicorn dream sequence. I don't think it advances anything to make Deckard a replicant, or at least imply strongly he is...
I guess I'm "cautiously optimistic" on this one. I suspect it will be just another sci-fi film this time around, though. I hope the bad guy doesn't turn out to be the usual super-genius who controls all technology and uses it to give himself near-god-like powers, etc etc, but the trailer sort of...
It probably was, pandering I mean. I have to admit that I was horrified, in part because on the same day I had read some article (here in Canada, where we have the ongoing Stratford Festival) claiming that Shakespeare needs to be more inclusive and gender balanced and suggested that some roles...
They actually allow you to wear a leather jacket in a prison?? That seems odd.
Here's another thread on police leather jackets: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/leather-police-jackets.25671/
I know it seems that way, and yes they're selling a lot of weird clothing, but if you ignore all that fashion stuff (and their heavily photoshopped photos and anorexic models) you'll see they still offer a traditional long trench (which they call the "Westminster") and a single-breasted raincoat...
Kojak in an A-2. There must have been a civilian company making those jackets with the heavy ribbing on the knits because the same detail is on Ford's jacket in Hanover Street (see previous pages).
Last night I watched the film "Capricorn One" about a faked manned mission to Mars. Near the end is a spectacular aerial chase between a biplane and two helicopters. The movie is excellent, but kind of obscure, so for those who just want the chase here it is. Someone can presumably i.d. the...
Off topic -- actually all of this is, lol --but were you issued a 1911 .45 in Viet Nam? I would have imagined they'd have moved on from those by the 70s.
"Under test circumstances" probably. But if you were in a dark alley or some situation in which you needed your opponent to go down with one...
Here's a couple of Burberry catalogue scans from 1998. (These are from their "on sale" booklets they send around, so don't assume the prices or available sizes represented the full range at the time.)
