I have my Grandmothers old one, I think bought in the early 70's to replace an even older one she used since the 30's. It works fantastic. Bit of a time saver.

From what I understand, Wested was supposed to have come out with a new model of these trousers that had either a straighter leg & a more open cuff so as to drape over the second eyelet of your shoes or boots or extra material to allow the wearer the option of letting them out. I just can't...
Hey Alan, are the trousers you are wearing there the Swedish military variety? Looks like you did a little hemming work there. Am I correct? Looks like a very warm outfit for a very cool day.:eusa_clap

Those two would be my choice as well. B!Wear will also custom a hat for you if you provide him with the material you want for the body & liner. Hat People rotate their stock occasionally depending on the materials they have in stock. They may also be able to work with you if you have certain...
skbellis: Very cool! Thanks for the heads-up on that one. I prefer the idea for the screw cap just because I'm clumsy enough to muss the cork and have a leak in the pack.
Great pics Gijoe! The valley village looks rather beautiful. You're a very lucky man indeed to have such terrain so near...

The Ghillie replaces the cork with a kettle cap that gives off a whistle to let you know when the water is ready. Nice little feature if you don't want to spy down the spout to see if it has boiled. What would...
BT: That vendor would be Spearhead Militaria, correct?
I just received some confirmation on the shirt & some questions from Ant-Z. Chen seems to be fairly thorough. I may have to buy some of the pants that he is offering, they're exactly what I am looking for. Thanks for the referral in that...
I just won this shirt on ebay. Looking forward to other colors of this shirt too. One thing at a time I guess. And not to worry it is an ended auction.

Homemade socks? That's just too cool.
I like the anorak in this shot. Where did you find that one?
Looks like you have a US GI mechanics sweater in some of those shots too. Very well done. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
In some of your pictures the area looks like a lake in a volcano.
It's a shame...
