    Playboys on Parade!

Art makes a mean Playboy: I would love a vintage piece too. I have a 60's Playboy waiting to be renovated when I have the cash but a pre war one would be a "Grail" hat for sure.

    Panama Bob's $25 Cuenca

I bought one of Bob's cheapies....definitely a much nicer hat than the price point would suggest.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Cool Homburg Bert! According to the Indy guys, Herbert Johnson moved from the Bond St. address around 1971, so that hat dates from before then.

    Leather sweat band care?

I like shea butter as well because it has the added benefit of also being good for your skin and hair.

Do you think buying a 7 5/8 will be a problem over my normal 7 1/2?

Between the possibilities of a vintage hat having slightly shrunk and the ease of padding the sweat, I'd say you'll probably end up alright. Caveat emptor, of course.

    The Resistol Roundup

Sweet! Resistol made some really nice lids....I think it'd be safe to assume 50's on this one, given the lack of plastic on the liner.

Art Fawcett VS Hall of Fame

Grey, Silverbelly, and Black Cherry are Art's most versatile colors, IMHO. The first two moreso than the latter, but BC is a dark horse (no pun) in the versatility category.

    Underwelts - Yay or Nay?

Underwelts are a passable substitute for a Cavanagh edge as well. I quite like underwelts, though if push came to shove, I might have slightly more affection for a bound ege. Still, I made sure to have some underwelts in my collection.
