Nice hat, Jeff! Glad that finally got completed for you. The color combinations look terrific, and he definitely nailed the reproduction! I never heard anything about the movie, but it looks pretty cool. I need to put that on my list of "hat movie" rentals. Enjoy it!! :thumb:

Vintage Brown Dobbs
My most recent purchase from ebay: a dark brown Dobbs fedora. Vintage '50s era. The felt is nice; not nearly as nice as my Dobbs FIFTEEN, TWENTY, or Saks 15/20 clone, but just what I was looking for in a vintage brown hat. Pliable and takes a dry crease with ease. The...

I have a black Dobbs TWENTY with a 5064 block. However, it does not state the blocking height. It sits pretty tall on my head; it came open crown, seems as if it were 5 3/4". Do you know if there was a particular year or decade that they didn't mark this? Brad, care to answer this one?
I tried steaming it and cooling it, folded out. Helped a little, but the hat still "looks" a little big sitting on my head. Will probably shell out a few more bucks and ship it to Falcon Park Hattery or Northwest Hats.
