Got my chocolate brown fedora! Dobbs 10. Won it on ebay! Dark chocolate brown (can't tell in the photo) with a darker ribbon. Blocked at 5 1/2" OC, 2" ribbon, 2 3/8" brim, and a sweet overwelt. It's marked 7 1/4, but unfortunately, it fits like a 7 3/8. Much too big, which is strange for...

Bought my first hat block! Straight sides, very low dome, almost flat. 30s style, 6" crown height, perhaps a 52 block?, 7 1/4. Was wondering if anyone could help me decipher some of the markings. Who is N.H. Sweeney? What does PRI. mean? Is 1896 associated with the date this block started...

Got this nice Dobbs over the weekend. I'm curious to know if it's a 15, 20, or other. The crown and brim dimensions look pretty nice, and the overall quality looks to be like it's well kept. 1 of 2 brown fedoras I had my eye on. This one went for waaaaay less than the other one...

Most inconvenient places to be a hat wearer

My wife and I went to a show last night. An older woman wearing a wide hat sitting in front of my wife made it very inconvenient for her to see part of the stage. I knew enough to take mine off, however. :) I even asked her if she would kindly remove the hat so that we could see. She...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Yes. It was one of my first few fedoras that I purchased after finding the 'Lounge. So it has a special place in my heart... And on my head.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Super hats over the past few days! Robert and Alan were sporting the stingy homburgs, Justin showcased a fine looking derby (looks great!), and Mike's VS is a stunner, just to name a few. Oh, and I love the acorn colored beauty in perfect contrasting lighting. Nice shot, Robert!

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

IMHO, I think that is one of your best looking hats! Seriously. It sits really well on your head (unless it's too tight). Justin + Derby = :thumb:
