Check out these brackets from Scarebird. They allow you to replace your 10-inch drums with 1977-88 Dodge Diplomat rotors and 1970-72 Dodge Challenger calipers.
I've got the Scarebird brackets for my Falcon, but I haven't used them yet, because I haven't tracked down a spare set of hubs.

I thought I had a nice shot of Flint, Michigan's courthouse to share with you all, but I can't seem to locate it. If you're ever in the Vehicle City, the restored courthouse is a jewel and should be visited.

You're not really going to customize it heavily, are you? I like those how they sit, albeit perhaps lowered a bit.
I'd love to own a '50 Dodge Meadowbrook, myself.

Cool car. The 350 swap doesn't do much for me, but I understand the reasons for doing so (power/parts/reliability). I've seen slant sixes put into these cars quite successfully, so that would have probably been my first choice if ditching the flathead.

It really is a worthwhile book to own if you want to know the build techniques and preferred used in the era, and maybe how to improve on them without degrading the period correctness of the build. It's not really a formula, so much as a guide to avoid reinventing the wheel.
As they say in...
I haven't tried on the clogs because I'm horrified by their appearance, but I own a pair of the canvas lace-up shoes they made and love them for casual, around-the-house and summertime shoes. Sadly, I think they were discontinued shortly after I bought my pair.

Men in clothes like you describe built your workplace, what have your coworkers done that makes them feel so superior to those men?
At least that would be my response in your position, if I even felt compelled to defend myself.

John, what did you do for Egge? I haven't yet had occasion to buy from them, but given what I've seen/heard they're on my preferred list when rebuild time comes.
Especially if a Y-block falls into my lap at some point.

If you read Dean Batchelor’s book The American Hot Rod, there is a quote from a famous early rodder (Alex Xydias, founder of the So-Cal Speed Shop comes to mind) where he says about exactly that - service in the military gave young car enthusiasts technical skills and discipline they did not...
I found a pic of my pants in action! There was nothing written on the back of this one, unfortunately.
In fact, I just scanned a few ‘40s and ‘50s pics from my grandparents.

I would love to see a post detailing the Mr. T look. I see it referenced so often, but have never really grasped what it means. Obviously, Googling it is no help.
