    Meeting other Vintage Enthusiasts

I met "cherry_bombb" from here. We've been BFFs ever since. Recently a woman named Connie came up to me in the parking lot one morning when I was walking into work. She practically jumped in front of me shouting "I LOVE VINTAGE!" It made my day. She told me she'd been "stalking" me for two...

BOOOOO :( Photos hosted by webshots are blocked on my work computer!! Everyone else that I can see -- :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap I just finished a dress myself and I'm in the process of *almost* finishing another! I'll post both up at the same time!

Do ladies really have to dress old & frumpy after a certain age...?

NO WAY. Dress how you like. At any age. I dress like a young old lady -- that's just what I like. If the "old lady" wants to dress like a 25 year old, LET HER. Look at older Mae West and Anita Page! Fabulous!!

    Show us your hair do's....

Thanks girls! And everyone else.... :eusa_clap Everyone is lovely! Also, I had one of those foam things with a wire. I had one in the 90s and I ordered it off TV. It was called a "Hairdini" It didn't last long -- the wire would eventually get bent out of shape and break. Best to...

    Show us your hair do's....

I was never very talented with hair. I'm 34 and finally getting the ball rolling in practicing vintage styles. I set it in pincurls every single night and sleep on them. It's kinda frizzy, but it's better than stick straight pigtails!

    Aging

Once again, Inky wins. I'm only 34. I get "more" vintage every year, it seems. I just recently went platinum blonde and feel and look better than ever. No, I'm not trying to look 26 (a la Jean Harlow!). I wear it for myself. It makes me happy. Like Inky said, don't pay attention to...

    Sewing Scraps

That card is lovely! So far, I'm just hoarding my scraps, but I recently just used some tattoo material for accents on a 1930s dress.

    How offten do you dress....

I make all my own clothes so I wear nouveaux vintage every single day. I sleep on pincurls every single night, too. I'm like this everyday all the time. It's me. I sleep in boxer shorts and old t-shirts, though. Until I can find some NICE 30s nightgown patterns.

    Do's and Don'ts in Fashion

My only "don't" is orange. I hate that colour. Everything else is game! No rules for me! ...except obvious ones like wearing clothes that don't fit, bra straps showing, too short of skirt, etc.

"Excuse me, Miss (or Ms. or Mrs!), do you journal?"

I kept paper journals from 1984 until 2004. It moved to the computer after that and that's where I've been ever since.

Inky -- I don't think they are too high. I think they are a perfect vintage height. Vanessa -- :eusa_clap (my new thing I do when there are no words!)

    Vintage Sailor Dresses

Not a sailor dress, but I've given this one a nautical feel. It's gonna end up on my Etsy later today -- it doesn't fit. :(

    Vintage Sailor Dresses

Egg. I have a mom-belly under my navel (and I'm not even a mom!) When skirts hug underneath of it = EGG.

    Show us your non-vintage self

Ever since I started to sew I'm not non-vintage ever anymore. But here I am about two years ago. On the right. I look nothing like this now. I'm actually platinum now:

    The ICONIC photograph-show it here

I love it! I'm getting more into "regular" ladies and "working" ladies than movie stars these days :)
