What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

T: good job, Dr. Jones! Joao: I like the feather too, nice contrast. Chamuco: looking sharp! David: always love seeing Bob's work.. Moe: nice OR! My mom was wondering when I was ever going to wear my John Wayne hat. I figured it's kind of an eye grabber (at least in my neck of...

+1 Rusty always says I should turn my brims down, but I'm stickin' to my guns  For some reason I tend to snap shorter brims down and keep wider brims up.[huh]

Yeah, if it were only the stitches showing, I'd be inclined to say just keep it, because usually it's just a matter of the ribbon 'riding up' on the crown. But that bump is odd. It looks almost as if they blocked it once, and then blocked it again a size down and made another brim break.

Hmm...that....shouldn't be like that. That bump at the brim break really shouldn't be there. The sweat stitches...well, it's not uncommon on modern Hatco Stetsons. It shouldn't really be like that either. Normally you can just nudge the ribbon over those stitches though. If I were you...

    Post New Hats Here!

Oh, nice score! The plastic inserts often end up missing! The stains don't look too bad, and they'll at least be on the underside of the brim if they don't lift out all the way.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

It's the latest addition to Resistol's John Wayne collection. Brand new, but aged with 'trail dust'...probably fullers earth.

    Black Sheep Hat Works

Jumping back in the queue because I must have one of these heathers. I do like the blue, but charcoal might also be nice. The light grey is tempting too.....decisions, decisions.

    keeping a vintage sweatband supple

Bob at Black Sheep was going to attempt to fix an unreeded sweat I had on a Borso; but, the holes in the sweat itself had busted so the repair wasn't possible.

    Reshaping Fedora Brim

Well, the thing with wool is that it doesn't really shape that well. You may need to find some hat stiffener to get it to hold it's shape.
