I wonder if perhaps some of the lack of style prevalent today is a result of or a backlash against the constant media (print and TV) bombardment touting the latest "style" from a seemingly endless supply of "designers"? Your Favorite Big Band
I like all of the bands listed in the poll. I voted for Tommy Dorsey only because as a trombone player myself he was always an inspiration to me. I also enjoy most of the bands others have listed that didn't make the poll. My real favorite is whatever I'm listening to at the time. lol -

Storing your hats?
The boxes I ordered arrived yesterday. Very sturdy. And large enough to store 2-3 hats separated by the unbuffered tissue in each. Edit: The invoice arrived today and I think I was raped on the shipping. $50 for the 4 boxes and the tissue paper! -
What do you think of the Indiana Jones hats?
Like some of the earlier posters I have one of the early 80's wool felt IJ hats. Wearing it today as the weather is a little nasty here. It was my intro to fedoras and still looks as good today as when I bought it. I guess it's pushing 30 years old now. I hope some of my newer hat hold up... -
Brim rolling up
I just reshaped the brim on my panama using steam from a kettle last week. Worked fine. Just hold the brim in the steam for a few seconds, reshape, hold until cool and it should be fine. -
