I've never cone across them in searches - It looks ok in the pictures but does anyone have any experience of their products?
It's a picture of me, taken by my wife on our honeymoon in Portmeirion, which was the set for the iconic 60's tv drama 'The Prisoner' - no metaphor intended. It's a place that's well worth a visit if you like zany architecture.
I sold my time worn 44" Eastman M422a as the sleeves were too short for me at 24" and used the cash to buy on eBay a Gibson and Barnes civil G1 in a size 40" R it fits my 43" chest tall broad shouldered frame nicely - I consider it a 44" L in reality and with the change I got set of roof bars...
I use a Effax Lederbalsam which I've read good things about on the FL and was recommended by a local saddlery. I believe it's made from lanolin avocado oil and beeswax.
Well I read this thread and couldnt resist comparing the smell of my two Aero FQHH jackets of widely different ages, a new old stock HG-5 from 2006 (they dont make 'em anymore) and a 'Marlon Brando' biker jacket from the early 90's and yes both have that distinctive comforting smell in roughly...
It's the 1979 Schott # 102. As pointed out by Bretron Lesco made a very similar jacket. Schott Europe did a limited remake in the noughties and all of these types come up from time to time on eBay. There is a a discussion on a two tone example on the Schott forum here...

Having just watched a repeat of the new Sherlock episode current season I noticed he was wearing what at first I thought was a vintage trench coat but which a bit of research shows is a very expensive Belstaff. What do you think of it and would you pay the price or buy a cheaper replica?
