Is it true that Prohibition in the US killed off a wide variety of brews which had been based on recipes from the variety of cultures that settled there?
Just tried a couple of US bottled beers Brooklyn Lager and Blue Moon, bought in my local Sainsbury's - wow! So much better than that pale insipid stuff I used to have to drink at parties when the good European beers had gone.
I was outbid on this pair as I wasn't sure they'd fit so wasn't prepared to bid too high. I then decided I was going to have a pair of their WW1 boots for my birthday (June) but as I'm a wide size 8 I didnt want to spend serious money without being sure of fit and so thought it best to drive...
Beautiful jacket Andrew - what a find? You must search very diligently as in my (albeit limited) experience originals are extremely rare and larger sizes are about as common as Rocking Horse droppings in the desert.
Absolutely I was very tempted by a burgundy fedora at £75 but managed to put it down and buy a linen cap for Summer wear instead.
Here it is Herald and Heart Rye

I found this link while looking for the hat shop in Rye High Street that also sells Susquahana hats. I'll get the details of that one for you tomorrow as they don't seem to have a website.
I bought a navy Fedora...
I'm sure this is the right place to post if they aren't your boots - if they were yours then classifieds would be the place and as I understand it ebay links are allowed in both areas. If I'm wrong someone will say so immediately.
Continuing to thin out my collection
Here's one for the budding rock stars out there:)

I remember reading that they bought their jackets together from the same shop in Hamburg - Here is a link to the Bonhams sale of George Harrisons with label for id.

Could this one be professionally stretched and new band fitted or is that not possible, assuming the seller has correctly identified it.
