This is not doing an aging man's blood pressure any favors, guys!

    Falcon Park Hattery

Oh, that's hot. As soon as I clear out some "accounts payable", I'm going to be after one myself. We're going to Holland in April for the Floried and I have a craving for a Homburg to wear among the tulips, or maybe a steel grey just like that one or . . .

Does vintage clothing attract a rude/violent response?

I think you need to add a stick to your fedora. There's something about a length of hardwood with a brass knob on the end that tends to improve the manners of those around you.

    Richard Chamberlain's "Allan Quatermain" hat

And that, too, is a fine looking hat. A bit grey for safari use, IMO, but I'm sure the Major can make any color you want. Something a bit more olive would be perfect.

    Richard Chamberlain's "Allan Quatermain" hat

That would do. It would do quite nicely. If I ever gather up the nickels and head back to Africa, I think that's what I'll get. Don't need the leopard, the croc works just fine.

    Classic vintage CANVAS TENTS

Having camped in every form of military tent from shelter half (which saved my freezing butt!) to a GP Medium (which I agree can be erected by two experienced NCO's in under an hour) I commend all you hardy souls who wish to continue doing so. However, with my collection of infirmities and a...

And hammer guns remain the choice of a few select hunters who realize that hammers can be safely carried in the half-cock position and then cocked silently when you are ready to make the shot. It's not for nothing that they have been referred to as 'stalking rifles'. Remember that a hammerless...

    Richard Chamberlain's "Allan Quatermain" hat

I can't imagine anyone actually wearing a leopard skin band in Africa. The fur is thick and it would be dreadfully hot. That may be another reason that zebra became the standard. They are more common, provide excellent eating (trust me on this!), and the coat is thinner. Crocodile might be good.

    Recent Summer "Safari" News!

    Woman wearing Hats

Only if you insist on looking at all females as objects of lust. She's a very pretty child who looks good in Daddy's hat. I think it's cute, but I'm Grampa aged. That may have something to do with my attitude.

Hi DG, what are you doing on a clothing site? And I agree whole heartedly about learning to shoot with a .22 but I would recommend that the "iron sights" be a decent quality peep. Get used to those and you can use them for the rest of your shooting life. Express sights are great for kids but...

Save up your nickels and get a Kodiak Mk IV double rifle. You can have fun in Cowboy Action Shooting with it in its original 45/70 caliber and later, when you're really serious, have it re-chambered to .450 NE by McKool's in Tulsa. Good uwindaji, bwana!

My all-weather, whole world battery is my Whitworth in a composite stock, black chrome finished with that very Leupold scope on top. I had the safety modified to a Buehler left swing so that as I push it down to SAFE, my thumb continues to grip the stock. It wasn't easy finding the safety but...

    Walking Sticks & Canes.

True. There have been several occasions where someone has received a sword cane as a gift, completely unawares what it was. They attempt to board a plane with it and suddenly find it confiscated leaving him/her with no support upon arrival at the destination. They come under the...

My almost 17yo dd wants this post-war VINTAGE CAR!

Really! Any rice rocket she encounters will be shrapnel and all she'll need is some new paint. According to these people it should run around $4500. Find out what he's asking and let the dickering begin!
