    Could very well be....I do not know. Most American makers of the time got their bodies from South America so I was just assuming (we all know what that means). I was just judging based on the weave (is not Monticristi also a weave) it could be a Bankaru and now I know, looking at other examples...

    This is one awesome hat!!! Pictures tell the tale. NO tip label as crown is "vented" as are the sides. Round crown vent, diamond side vents!!!! Color is classic bright WHITE with black ribbon.....
