Good to see them really using their noodles there!

Looks like a repurposed medicine ball. When you want the formality of a derby/bowler, but your leather fetish won’t be denied.

Painting on fedoras is not something I like at all. Ugh. I've seen it done by hatters that I respect, and it started up in Ecuador a few years ago with their Panama hats. A lady in a shop showed one to me and I feigned a weak smile and said no, thank you... I hated that they ruined (IMO) a perfectly fine handwoven straw hat.
Seriously?!?
They call that one, "Migraine."Did someone say "swirling effect"?
The next time someone doses your Aunt Tillie's fruit punch, this will be sure to be a crowd pleaser (and with a low Buy It Now price, too).

I saw that on Instagram. As much as I hate painting on hats, this treatment looks more like scrimshaw on fine ivory pistol grips to me.It does not quite qualify in this thread but being too lazy to start another. Rand Hatters out of Billings employs a guy that creates art on their westerns using what looks like a wood burning pen. He creates amazing outdoor scenes on the sides of the hats.....elk in a forest setting etc. They are quite stunning. They also have a woman on staff who does painting on the felts...more on the feminine side, flowers etc. Also look good.
As I had figured. I still couldn't resist the comment though. Great minds think alike. Well, at least well hatted minds do anyway.Yeah, your post appeared in between the time I started writing, and then posting what I wrote.
Not so much of an actual WTF hat... but this arrived today in place of what should have been a Borsalino. The seller had given me the heads up of his mistake and joked he hoped the other guy was not using my hat as a minnow bucket. To which I replied I could not guarantee I would not Try use his pail as Hat. So we have this in the fun and spirit of WTF hats
