    The type I used was colourless spirit vinegar - also known as white vinegar not the brown stuff used on chips also known as non-brewed condiment.

    Hydrogen peroxide is an old fashioned bleach which will oxidise/rot leather and lighten most dyes - NEVER touch leather with bleach!

    Yes thats a good possibility too thank you - update I've just had a close look at the stitching and there are angles on the outline I've missed on my cut out - it matches well the above VMF 311 and I found a replica site which gave the same dimensions, so thank you - problem solved. Rob

    Can someone link a popular ebay search with all jacket manufacturers?

    Don't forget to search for good zippers too - Talon etc and don't forget to include the description search but tie down the category search and also sort from newly listed. eg talon zip leather jacket etc. Regards Rob
