    Is my G-1 mouton real?

The Vietnam years - officially at least if Wikipedia is to be believed were 1954 to 1975 so any of the following would have been used there MIL-J-7823E(AS) 1971, MIL-J-7823D(WP) 1966, MIL-J-7823C (WEP) 1962, MIL-J-7823B(WEP)1960, MIL-J-7823A(AER) 1961, And earlier ones on the backs of older...

Looking for a G-1 Jacket in very good to MINT COND. Size 36

This one might be a bit too big in the chest as its nearer to a 38 (using the formula pit to pit at 44 - 4 for comfort =38) - depends on your preference - and its likely to be a civilian copy rather than as described - a very good one though according to discussions some time ago on TFL...

    My G-1 Lineup (Others Invited)

I'm curious about how the ww2 and later the Korean War patches on USN jackets were constructed. It's hard to tell from the pics especially the black and white ones in the archive photos. Were they painted on, embroidered felt, painted canvas, painted leather layered leather or something else?

So good to see proper beers being brewed in the US.

Agreed - it's a great beer I first tried it in the 1980's when I found a small supply in a Nottingham grocery store - it soon ran out with my help.

What do you use to shave?

When I feel like taking the time, I use my gold Gillette Toggle - I was lucky enough to find it in a local charity shop for £10. My brush is a badger hair I found in the shaving section of the Waitrose supermarket along with the blades which are wax paper wrapped by Wilkinson Sword. My wifes...

Please help to identify the A2 (with art)

Please help to id a friends latest find. The label is so worn the writing can't be read. The zip pull is missing and the stop box is unmarked but the zipper looks a modern US style - fastens opposite to UK style. Does anyone know who made it - and or who painted the art? Cheers Rob...

    help choosing a tartan please

When I was about to order my first Aero I ploughed through my Family Tree to see if I was entitled to wear a Tartan and came up with clans and several tartans but in the end I took Kens advice and chose moleskin. -No regrets it looks good etc in my jacket he was right. I'm not recommending...

Wrangler Cowboy Cut Relaxed (and Original) Fit Jeans

Wrangler 13MWZ were available in the UK when I was a teenager and were the chosen jeans of many a skinhead, but sadly do not appear to be available now. I occasionally find them in vintage clothing stores but new pairs are only available via import - online stores or eBay. I've got a couple of...
