I like the new layout and the hat specifics. I'm a little surprised. I was hoping to see the Leisure Time listed, as this is a hat I'm curious about and would like to see more photographs. I wonder if Akubra isn't making it anymore, though I see it is still listed on Hats Direct.
I truly envy anyone that can walk to work. Here in Albuquerque, and with the distance I have to travel, that just isn't an option. I'm a big supporter of those who can save on gas money and keep themselves in physical shape with an enjoyable walk to and from work.
Interesting! You learn something new everyday. After reading this, I looked at a few of my hats (an Akubra, VS custom, a vintage Resistol, and a vintage Stetson) and noticed the curvature you're referring to. I looked back at the photos here, and cannot see any curvature in these Baron's...

Dang! That looks really good! I agree with Spats; I don't think you're doing anything wrong. I've only bashed one open-crown hat, but I can see how it's a fairly straightforward process that can only get better with time. It's something to have fun with and experiment with, and before you...
Just for curiosity's sake, I just looked up Baron's Hats on the Better Business Bureau online. They actually do currently have an A+ rating, The BBB stating "nothing in our files causes us to have any doubt about the company's reliability".
However, The BBB does show two complaints in the...
