I had to do some digging....
It's interresting, because South Louisiana gets quite a large amount of yearly rainfall (60 to 70" yearly) but you guys don't proportionally get that many days of rain (100-115 days of rain).
Compare to Belgium where i currently live, where we get 30" of rain a year...
Thanks, it does indeed look very VERY thick, i can't wait... I have worn moose hide before and it is super nice to wear, same stretch and comfort as deer but thicker and heavier.
Well, this work of art is actually part of a new pair of jackets, i am also having a Leathertogs A made in the same...
Thanks Robbie, the hide is chrome tanned (good luck getting Stu to use anything veg tanned!), natural grain.
This is where it came from:

Just got a second round of higher res pics, the hide looks incredible:
It made it to the website in the end...
"Buco J24 in Customer-Supplied 5.0+ Oz. Dark Gray Finnish Moosehide Tanned To Order..
A One-Of-A-Kind Lost Worlds Jacket."
Edit: I spoke to Stuart, apparently the stud work...
If the jacket is super clean/looks unworn, i just give the collar and inside of wrists a quick wipe with a damp cloth.
If the jacket is clean but has some visible wear, i give every leather part a clean with some Lexol leather cleaner, i then give the jacket a quick rub with a little Pecard.
If...
Short answer is no.
Measurements that work in one style might not work in another style.
To make things worst, two jackets can have the same style and the same measurements and fit differently depending on how the pattern is cut.
Measurements should give you a pretty decent idea, they will tell...
Personally i would size up, you are wearing only a T-shirt in all these pics and the jackets already fits like a sausage casing.
Can you even close it whilst wearing a jumper?
There is no such thing as a jacket "opening up" with wear, if it starts out too tight it will always be too tight.
Makes sens. I think more of us need to start asking makers for "Scroto grain", see if we can get that term accepted worldwide!
"Hi Stuart, i am looking for some thick scroto grain, what do you think is best? Moose, deer or horse hide?"
This can only go well...
I hesitated a lot, but with this leather i didn't feel like i "had to".
With the thick HH i feel like the Crown is a safer bet of never having zipper failure. With the moose i think a more traditional zipper would be enough.
I already have so many Crowns, i thought i would try something else.
I...
There won't be anything to see on the LW website, since this is a custom project and he is never going to have this hide for sale he decided not to put the pictures on his website (at least that's what he told me a few weeks ago). No point advertising something you can't sell i guess.
