Ideas for New Aero 1930's Halfbelt
The other reason for the leather strip is to prevent the possibility of the lining sagging below the jacket. My Highwayman was fine when new, but, after it had broken in, the lining began to show by about 1/2" when seen from the rear. I got my good wife to sew a horizontal pleat in the lining...- Cooperson

New Good Wear "Arcadia" pics
That's a great, classic looking half belt! Not a pattern I've seen before, looks similar to the Ventura but with a bit of the Aero Hercules pattern at the front - very nice indeed! If it's the same horsehide as my Ventura, you will find it breaks in quite quickly. Congratulations and enjoy!- Cooperson

What are you doing.........
A round of golf with my mates - a mince pie and a swig of single malt on every other hole. Evening - walk to the pub with the wife - a few pints of Bass or Marstons Pedigree - back home to see in the new year! Life is good!! Happy New Year!- Cooperson
