I work out doors all year round. I need natural light to be able to work with colour matching and the open air to be able to bleach furniture. Some of the time I am very active other times I am stationary for an hour or more.
I couldn't survive without thermal longjohns, insulated rigger...

Andreas, no it's not that one . . The colour is darker brown and it's a different pattern. It's a 44 but a different shape somehow. The fleece is quite pale and soft.

ALC was stated by Simon Green, Surbiton in the 1970's. I still the receipt for mine from 1976, it cost me £120.
A VLJ member has a mint version for sale with the Simon Green label.
Re my Merino, bad news, I have just learned that my friend sent it by SURFACE....it can take 3 months...oh well...
Now my Merino RAF is coming back from Canada it would be foolish to keep this one.
It has pale caramel wool and a dark outer coating. Quality is as good as early Eastman's. I had the arms shortened because they were 28 inches long !

Here's a nice old repro made by the Cockpit of Southampton, long gone unfortunately. They called it The Flyers Jacket, it's as good an early Eastman.

No as you also found out, though it was a large size 40, it was still too small for me. I have a 44 identical to the 40 and will post some photos soon.
