This sad news for the many American customers and also for buyers in the UK who have had some great buys from your ebay site.
All the best luck for the future.
F/S size 44 Early type Eastman RAF jacket
Hi Steve,
Pit to pit at centre of gusset 25 inches
Same but at bottom of gusset 23 inches
Arm from shoulder to cuff 25 inches
Back from base of collar to waist 24 inches.
Irvin's are shorter in the body than B-3's.
Probably from the early 1990's this a very solid jacket made from darker type leather with paler golden fleece. For some reason I find these jackets impossible to photograph to show the true colours. The seam tapes always look slightly red which is not the case. They are dark tan.
The colour...
Similar jackets like the A-1, just don't work in thick horsehide. They don't hang correctly are are uncomfortable to wear. Break in periods can be decades. I like my Radjacke but hardly ever wear it because it feels like a straight jacket. I can't bend my arms or lift them above shoulder...
I would also advise to go for a thin leather such as capeskin. Having handled an original German 1930's jacket, they are are not made of heavy horsehide. The skin is too thick for the design and they are uncomfortable to wear.
All the pics. I show here become public on the web. If I search Google images, I find all my shots there.
Just not keen to have such exposure, maybe the mods. can change this but it's not to my liking.
That's why I stopped posting photos.
