Revised sizing reference, it gave the impression of a large jacket but I’d say it’s more of a 44-46, still, like the other black Grais sold here, it’s pretty accommodating.
I wonder if the OP has settled on an entry level A2? Surprised no one suggested Gibson Barnes, their Air Force issue A2, the only without side entry pocket, would be hell of a lifetime jacket, it’s not modeled after balloon, & fit very beautifully.

Ah, the 59er Highwayman is essentially a copy of today’s Lewis Dominator, which is the offspring of the original Rivetts jacket

May I clarify, you have a jacket that has red plaid lining? & you want to find an appropriate piece of garment that goes under the leather jacket? Or a pair of pants? Normally the lining wouldn’t show unless you leave the jacket unzipped no?

Wouldn’t have been a dilemma had not for Ken’s (of Aero) validation thy this is indeed a 50s jacket.... sometimes you just need a little “social influence”. But again, maybe it’ll pop up for sale again if I don’t end up wearing it

The last jacket, russet suede, always liked this style, but had bad luck at my closest encounter. Bought a NOS (even came with hang tag & original cleaning sponge) by forgot who, my size, but the moment I put it on the armhole seams came apart, then the rest of the seams just all start to fall...
