Ties just cluttering up the closet. Here are three ties for sale, $70.00 shipped CONUS.
A Brioni in Mauve, a Talbott Best of Class from Nordstroms and my former favorite, a Talbott Estate. From left to right, the Estate, the Best of Class and then the Brioni...
I just put three ties up on Ebay (one Brioni, two Talbott and PM me if you want a link), and went shopping tonight for ties. I used to shop at Jos. A Bank a lot but since I found Robert Talbott ties, I find that going back to Bank, or even Macy's, the ties just do not seem to move me. I dont...
The Cool Grease was used by me because my hair is thin and thinning on top. Baby fine almost. I cut it short on top with scissors and had a little spike thing going. Too much pomade made it greasy and too little gave no shine. I am now using a fibre gum and may try the Sally's version of...
I have some pomade up for sale on a shave forum I frequent : http://www.shavemyface.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40176
I found American Crew to have great shine but more of a cement hold. Did not need that. I used KMS Pomade for something locally available, probably the best of the lot until...
Today I wore a camel color wool polo sweater and some dress pants to work and wore my acorn-colored Akubra Stylemaster. A couple of nice hat comments and a couple of Indiana Jones comments. All positive. Because so few nice fedoras are worn, people notice them and they notice that they are...
Yes, those are the refills and are cheaper for those 5 than some places locally for a two pack. I ordered them as the seller told me they come with small silicone caps to keep from drying out.
I looked at the one Parker my wife has in her Retro 51 and it is not a gell, but says ballpoint refill. I don't know that I know the difference. How long does one last, a gel, vs. a ballpoint. That auction does not have them capped, so will they dry out? I think we might have had a Shmidtt...
1) reed diffusers vs. candles. pros and cons? Once candles seem to get down to half used, the wicks go wierd and more is on the sides of the jar than anything. I am thinking Trapp or Root.
2) anything I should know about reed diffusers? I can get a deal on a trapp scent i like for...
Outer box:
Inner box with pen laid in it:
Closeup showing the two other refills, one of which I have not opened and the other which was taped up as shown
Better shots showing the detailing and one last pic showing how it compares in size to a Cross pen...
This pen is a bit too big for me. The outer box and the presentation (inner box with the cushioning) are intact and the pen has a refill in it and I have like 4 more refills that were given to me when I bought it. Retail usually is over $375.00. I will sell it for $25.00 less than what I...
Old school barbershops in Memphis are hard to find. Maybe a half dozen, really. Most are like chain stores, women for the most part, 35 and under. The ones that exist tend to be in the older parts of town, where they have been since the 60's and 70's and the men there are holding on and...
55 outside, first cool weather in Memphis. Windy so it seems colder. I was without a jacket. Wore my Akubra Stylemaster and thank goodness i did. I took the hat off for 2 seconds and wow, my topmost part of my head was cold. Put the hat back on and wow, nice. Ears nippy a bit, but my...
Now, I wish I could have that thought process when it comes to her!!
Ill try to take pics one day in a shirt and tie, with both hats on, with a digital camera and post them to this thread
Jimmy, yeah, I am kinda used to the bigger brim on the Akubra but it has a more casual look. The grey Stetson seems "sharper" to the eye with a tie or suit on, and yeah, the hat looks smaller but to my eye, makes for a tighter package visually.
Today, I wore a shirt and tie to the office as I have no court, just a couple of clients of long standing and then paperwork ahead of me. Navy pants, black shoes, blue striped shirt (mainly on a white background) and darker blue paisley tie. Wore my Stetson Saxon, Caribou, or medium grey, hat...
Marcus, you and the lady look great, just great. Stylish, attractive, wow, just out of the movies. And the car just complements it. I bet a nice Sunday afternoon drive, stopped at a light, you get asked a ton of questions. Wow, looks like fun.
