Funny comment from the wife

Today, I wore a shirt and tie to the office as I have no court, just a couple of clients of long standing and then paperwork ahead of me. Navy pants, black shoes, blue striped shirt (mainly on a white background) and darker blue paisley tie. Wore my Stetson Saxon, Caribou, or medium grey, hat. Wife is used to seeing me wear my Akubra Stylemaster in fawn, which is not quite a brown but is darker than taupe. It is a wider brim also. She looks at me and says, is the hat too small? Funny since when I got the Stetson, she and the hatter agreed it fit perfect and looked great on me. However, seeing it now for just like the third time after getting it (and the Akubra has been worn a dozen or so), funny how her perceptions change

As long as she does not object to you buying hats or spending money on your hobbies, smile and say "thanks for the opinion, honey", and count yourslef lucky...

I would call it an accurate comment from the wife. (I say this in a completely friendly and constructive way )

Jimmy, yeah, I am kinda used to the bigger brim on the Akubra but it has a more casual look. The grey Stetson seems "sharper" to the eye with a tie or suit on, and yeah, the hat looks smaller but to my eye,makes for a tighter package visually.

I think its funny how one day she'll say she likes a hat, then a month or so later she'll give me a funny look about it or say it's "too big" or think it's a new hat! lol

:arated: just the other day I wore a Borsalino I bought in Italy with my wife by my side. Actually she picked the colour for me. When I was heading out the door she said exactly that: did you just buy a new hat?[huh] looks huge on you![huh]

Am I the only one that sees this??? Memphis has been given a wonderful gift from his wife, What you should have said is: I believe you may be right dearest. Now what hat should I buy to replace this! Ahhh the lost opportunities...

Now, I wish I could have that thought process when it comes to her!!
