The photo above, while very good, is not an "apples to apples" comparison. I am not defending the jacket, but will hold off on judgement until I can see it in the flesh...which will not happen. The price of a jacket does not always tell the whole story. But there are many over priced jackets...
That is too high also. But, at least it appears that they do earn it to sum degree. Ebay does nothing, other than allow you to post your own photos. Then a computer sorts out the bids, if there are any. I understand a small fee for listing. But they do nothing to help you sell your product...
Too many? That is heretical! There is no such thing, period.
Parking brake set.
Now...let me figure a way to get my wife out of the house when UPS arrives this afternoon with my latest A-2, which requires a signature for delivery...
Put me in the cowhide group, as it is my first choice for a number of reasons. My G&B cowhide looks, and feels as soft and supple as any of my goat skin jackets.
This from G&B:
Cowhide is the most common leather used to make jackets because it is durable, easy to care for, and resistant to...
Nearly 200 tubes, all made in the USA. Philco, RCA, GE, Sylvania, Tung-Sol, Raytheon, Zenith, just to name a few.
No, I have not tested these. They were purchased in their entirety from an electronics dealer (The Tube Caddy, Gardena, CA) back in the 50's. In storage in the original container...

That's easy...order a 38 or a 40. I mistakenly let them talk me into a 42. But the jackets fits / wears nice. It just has extra bulk thru the lower gut area. I don't need that!
I just checked, and the listing fee was $9.60. That's fine. But they should not then confiscate an additional 10% from my sale!
It's just like if I take out an add in the Dallas Morning News. I pay a fee, but they don't turn around and rob me for an extra 10%.
Here is the Excelled (38R - numbers with lines thru are for the 40R) in white vs. the Cockpit 21st Century (40R) in yellow:
And here is the G&B A-2, size 42R:
But for $217 (on sale), free shipping, USA made, the Excelled A-2 is hard to beat. It is made from heavy cowhide, and pound for pound is a pretty good deal. As well made as my G&B A-2. No, it's not an exact WWII copy, but it is a very respectable jacket, indeed. There is another Lounger that...
