I like the whole "same pose on every pics", it makes the pics about the jaeckts, not about you.
I like to be able to to see everything i want to see in the jacket in three pics.
Your pics are great, i wish i had a nice grey wall in my backyard.
When i lived in London i did pics in my living...
Nope, never been a real thing.
Some people add a comment at the end of the add after buying but it was never an official rating system.
Personally i only PPFF people i have "known" a long time and people who actively post pictures of jackets and themselves.
My thinking is that if someone is...
That's not actually true, they are not tighter, they are labeled one size down.
A size 42 641 will be the exact same pattern as a size 40 141, you can achieve the same fit in both models just by wearing a different tag size.
That is IMO not the same as a jacket that is actually "tighter" ie...
I have two black label Vansons and 14 modern label Vansons and i disagree with that statement.
IMO the patterns and the execution/stitching is better on the more recent ones than it was on the black labels.
IMO these jackets are designed to be abused untill they fall appart, not paraded in Kanye West style.
I would just use and abuse it, who cares what company logo is on it...
Put it on and go dig a hole, angle grind something, maybe change your oil, once you have put a bit of dirt on it you won't...
I think that's the second label.
If memory serves me right they started with a black font on white label in the late 70's early 80s (Vanson associates), then moved on to your label in the mid/late 80s, then moved on to the label we see now in the 90s.
The exact transition dates are in the Rin...
My "preparation to a reasonable degree" is wearing a Chrome tanned jacket.
I don't understand why that is unacceptable to you and why that makes me OCD.
That way I don't need to check the forecast, i don't need an umbrella, i don't need to take shelter.
And London isn't even that wet a place, only 156 days of rain a year compared to 200+ for most of Belgium.
Not sure what Moo thinks he articulated, but he doesn't sound like he spends much time outdoors...
Does this fit like a classic vanson 42?
Have you ever worn a Commando in size M? How do they compare?
If you can add measurements it would be cool.
Armour?
+1 to that, i would not try to remove the stains too agressively, you don't want to damage the top coat, the stitching or the integrity of the leather.
As Monitor says, i don't htink you'll find a way to remove the stain, all you will do is risk making things worst.
I would just dye it a darker...
As someone else said, Waldes makes these, i'm sure you can find them online somewhere:

Agreed, that video is rough to watch.
I use these pliers to do that, they have flat jaws and leave no marks, they exist in a small size but the 10" one work fine for that job.
They are the best tool to bend/straighten anything metal.
Unfortunately 22.8" back is going to be a crop top on me, shame as it is pretty cool.
I knew i had seen you somewhere else when i saw your previous sale pics and it just clicked in my head.
You are J-24 man!
Just did a bit of reasearch...
1890 - An estimated 2.8 million German-born immigrants lived in the United States. A majority of the German-born living in the United States were located in the "German triangle," whose three points were Cincinnati, Milwaukee, and St...
I am not saying a leather jacket is formal wear.
I am saying that even though you cannot see why someone would wear leather as formal wear some people do.
To me it's about how you do it, not why.
Eastman raised their prices in a clear way, they just raised thier prices. I don't have a problem with that.
Lewis Leathers did the same thing, i bought my custom 551 Dominator for 475GBP in 2013, they are now worth 895GBP, i don't have aproblem with...
