Alexander Leathers Simmons and Aero Aeromarine Discussion

I'm not trying to cause any trouble here, but that collar is on the borderline of being what was refered to as "Peter Pan" style!

I agree with Grayland and Fanch, wear it and let the sleeve shorten a bit and if you think they are too long after some wear, you can have Insurrection shorten them to your liking. I call that the best of both worlds! The overall fit looks good and I always like a little room for layering!!

The Monarch Knitting Co., Buffalo, NY

Very interesting. I grew up on Nevada Ave. in Buffalo NY which was just across the street from Genesee and Doat St. That building (a large brick factory) just burned down about a month ago. It was an old German-Polish neighborhood back then, but now is a high crime area of Buffalo. Brings back...

    Anyone got an Aeromarine, yet?

Fanch - I always respect your opinions, and enjoy your posts, but I looked at both jackets, and the collars on both jackets look so close, I don't care what the reviews are. As far as artistic flow and drape goes, I say artistic-smartistic, drape-shmape, pass me the Kool=Aid![huh]

    LVC Wool Jacket

Like the jacket - not the color. It would be nice in dark green, navy, or something a little more tame!

Blue would not be for me, but out of all the styles I think it would look best on a Cafe Racer motorcycle style jacket!

    Inside Pockets ? - One - Two - or None ?

My job is inspecting power line transmission and distribution towers for the electric company and we use power line maps all the time, although I do not use my map pocket when carrying them! But I'm sure you meant road maps!!:)

    Aero/Insurrection Dustbowl

I think it is the angle of the camera (sitting high) that is giving a distorted perception of the front and back length of the jacket. Taking that into prespective, the length looks pretty good to me!

    Speilberg/Hanks/Mighty Eighth

I'm sure the leather jackets would be great to see, but I'm sure they will add their liberal agenda to it!

    Inside Pockets ? - One - Two - or None ?

I like the inside pocket. If you're at a bar you can stash your wallet there and not have to worry about it. It doesn't bother me that the stud indent might show threw. Just be careful when you pull it open. My 2-tone 30's HB wasn't an hour old, and my brother was trying on my "brand new" jacket...

Alexander Leathers light brown kudu Dakota, size 42

Schitzo - Thanks for the info. I know the sleeve and back length I want, was just a little concerned with the chest area. Unlike you, I'm 5'7" but have a 42" chest. I will give Amanda the measurements and see what they say. Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it. Nice jacket BTW - enjoy!
