I have one that I bought back when the line first came out & saw one like it posted on ebay for more than they originally sold for.
Not sure why the seller thinks these would increase in value...? His didn't even have the pin either....
I like how they state for the 25 "finest hat you can buy" then on the next page list the 5X Beaver 35 "very best Quality, Styling & Expert Craftsmanship"....

This is newer than the 7X CB designation. When the 7X CB & 100 went away (early 70's), the top of the line OR was the 10X.
I've got a 10X that has $100 price tag in it. Not saying the 10X replaced the 100 but have seen catalogs with 4X, 6X & 10X version of ORs.

I've had 2 Pinnacles, 1 black & 1 caribou. Was not impressed with the low crown but the felt seemed much better than modern Royal Deluxe until I handled the Premiere Stratoliner. Looking forward to the Excellent version to compare as well.
The Pinnacle body is 100% beaver but the use of it left...
If you can stand the noise, get a pillow cases with a zipper (pillow cover?) & put 4 softballs inside.
Run the jacket & the case in your dryer with air flow only setting.

I always assume all vintage hats have tightened up some & are smaller than stated size.
They do have a "memory" & are coaxed back to the original size very willingly.
