agreed. The natural cxl one I bought is a 44. Although slightly big, I don't think I could have fit into a 42. However, if it would have been a Vicenza or Badalassi, I probably could have gotten away with a 42.
In both cases, that is the higher end of sizes for me as I tend to be a solid 40...
Yeah, when you said they wanted to do 46, I was getting scared LOL. Plus racing style should be a little tighter anyway. I'm excited. Marc's colors really encourage me and his confirmation about their ability to hit the measurements. Everything I have seen has been great. Very fair price...
ah ok. Yeah, if you're not in US, then I wouldn't go with TB. Probably be too expensive with the shipping. But then again, i don't know.
Youtube a how to measure your body video. Lewis Leather actually has some good ones. Basically you take the tape and go all the way around just above...
Hey there.
Thurston Bros measurements are with them pulling them. So you can kind of look at it as the max measurement or maybe the broken in measurement. But yeah, a few of us have had to squeeze into a jacket or two before we realized LOL. And forget about using the size numbers. I think...
Ah interesting. So it is pretty customizable. I think for me, dealing with the body measurement is new vs giving jacket measurements or using these measurements to judge the fit since it's easier to visualize and you dont have to compensate for leather thickness, etc. Although I recall others...
Lol, yeah not so V. More of a pinch in the waist, more hour glass but still smaller hem since you mentioned is a little big. But going 42 was right call. And it seems the cinch is functional, so it gives you options. Anyway, this is too nitpicky. Excellent, top tier jacket. Real statement...
Love the color contrasts. Green, red, beige. I was going to chicken out and go black tape and black liner for fear it might look like a squashed bug lol, but I think the allure of LL is that little bit of flash. Very bold but it paid off. Congrats. And the pattern is cool. I think I like...
that's originally where I was headed, then took a left turn on the 402 before a detour on the 392 (only us SoCal people will get the joke)
I think I'm saving some powder for a classic black and beige tape down the road depending on how I like the first one. Since I have a Schott 118, I want...
Although I dont have his aniline shinki for comparison, I do have a few schott 100 series which is naked cow aniline. I would agree with all you said.
The teacore is very top coat heavy and rigid but not in cxl kind of way. It moves and drapes, but doesnt hold form. One day after I would say...
this might have just sold me on the green and square badge logo. I was already kind of there, but slightly wavering. Even though it is more "green" than I was originally going to be comfortable with, there's a certain antique charm to it. Could be some lighting/photography razzle dazzle, but...
so nice. the creases already????? you have some sort of paint mixing machine that replicates that LOL.
Looking forward to your usual brick wall shots. I want to see in outdoors. I'm exactly like Mr. Proper. On that first shot, I'm right on the edge of whether too green or not for my own...
I thought about going to Stronghold in Venice but i priced it out and on paper at least, seems like it'll be a couple hundred bucks more. $1250 + LA sales tax so lets say almost $1400.
On the LL website, I'm getting about $1100 since there's no vat. I'm figuring $100 shipping (prob high) and...
This thread going to cost me a lot of money. I need to stop reading LOL.
My concerns about the green are the same as Mr Proper. I'll discuss with Rip. If it's more of a cordovan sort of feel like Salmosalar mentioned, I'm in 100%. Most likely 402, beige tape, square logo. Still debating...
I think for most designs, they're almost non functional when you have your jacket zipped. Especially on the shorter cut jackets. You'd really have to bend your elbow to hit the right angle.
My Sheene has handwarmers without zippers and it's not something I like. The jacket is already very...
thanks for the shots. I think I'm pretty much sold on the green. But will wait to see Marc's masterpiece hopefully on MOnday :)
Now to focus on the style. 392 caught my eye from the beginning. I've got a brown Thedi racer with similar padding and I like the look but remain curious how...
thanks for your input, Sal. LL should give you some commission. Our resident guru. And nice pics, Justin. That green looks amazing. Now to flip a coin on the lightning or dominator. Curious about Marc's Cyclone (I think that's what he ordered) as well. And I agree, definitely beige tape...
If the green is like really dark, dark green (i.e. almost black with a subdued green hue), kind of like evil villain lizard murky green kind of thing, I might do it. I'm thinking Dominator in that case. and I might add the extra coin pocket like Thomas for extra flair. But every time I see a...
