I can't take credit, that bash was done by the salesman at Byrnie Utz where the hat was purchased. ;) Though I am looking forward to putting the bash in my BGGCD when it finally arrives.
In the upper 40's here in the Seattle area this morning. SBCD today...
Next week will mark two months since placing the order for my BGGCD. So I'm hoping I get an email soon telling me that it's shipped. The wait is killing me.
I saw that post as nothing more than someone trying to undermine someone else' sale.
$700.00 with offers considered is a fair starting point regardless of what you paid for it.
I think that was a little uncalled for.
I'm not sure what you ended up paying for it from bretron, but his last advertised price was $700.00/shipped. If jdiddy got a deal at $580, there's still nothing wrong with him turning around and asking $700.00 if there's someone out there willing to pay...
Did you check with Carrie and/or Wade at Insurrection/Thurston Bros? If they have what you need or have an order already placed with Vanson, perhaps it's not too late to order thru them. It might be worth checking out.
I've got something similar, I pulled back the sweatband and liner and the only other markings I can find is a number 12 in chalk or grease pen. I too was curious as to it's age.
What's funny is on the picture of the interior of the jacket, I totally missed the gun pocket. You can see the snap to the right of the Langlitz label. Not sure what I ended up circling. Perhaps the back of one of the lapel snaps?
If I had it to do over again, I would probably have gone with the Zard. I like the Arrow, but I think the Zard fits the look of the Scrambler better.
That's who we (the club) had do our sweaters. The patch on the front and the lettering on the back are chenille patches stitched to the sweater...
Ain't that the truth. I usually try to stop in when ever I'm traveling thru Portland if only to skim the consignment wrack and say "What up?"
I see you already answered your own question, but here's a couple photo's for visual. :D :D :D
Exterior:

Doing my part to keep things rolling. My 10 pocket Columbia. I sold it to finance performance upgrades to the bike. If I ever find myself in a place to afford another, it will be a cascade.
