What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Pretty miserable here today. Went for my Northwest Hats 'Rainhat'. I asked Mike for something durable so he added extra water repellent to it. It's indyesqe in style without being accurate to any particular film.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Hi Bowlerman I can't quite make it out but that hat seems to have a really interesting bow. What colour is it ivory, silvermist? Great hat.

No that one is a VS. I have a couple of Art's hats and a couple of Mike's. Love them all.

    Tom Hardy's Fedora in Lawless

There is a poor quality phone picture in the 'What hat are you wearing today' thread, but I'll try and get some better quality pictures at the weekend.

I'm sure which ever one you go for, you'll be happy. The moonstone is quite light but not as light as it often appears in photos, if that makes sense.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

The sun is out here in England, so went for a light hat, in weight and colour:

My lawless hat was made from Mike's Sahara felt. It is an extremely versatile colour. It will go with pretty much anything. Good choice, looking forward to some pics!

    Introduction

Hi Jon Your story sounds similar to my own. I had always had an interest in hats, partly from a certain Dr Jones but more particularly from my interest in Film Noir. It was only when I reached a certain age that I felt comfortable wearing a fedora, and it was roughly a year or so ago that I...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Some amazing hats/caps today, but I must say DJH I really love the whippet style and that is an excellent example. As regards black ribbons on brown hats, isn't that what Indiana Jones wore?

    Tom Hardy's Fedora in Lawless

Yes Mike thought 2 7/8 was the actual size. I prefer a slightly narrower brim usually between 2 3/8 - 2 5/8. Best

    Tom Hardy's Fedora in Lawless

Hi TJ Glad you like it. The brim is 2 5/8", narrower than the film hat, the gap between the pleats is approx 6/8"

It is - and I'm sure you wont be disappointed with your hat from Mike. Did you go for the light weight felt?

My latest addition from Mike has arrived. It's based on Tom Hardy's hat in 'Lawless'. More photos on the Lawless thread. This is Mike's light weight felt and it is absolutely incredible, buttery soft, malleable, but able to hold a crease. Simply beautiful.

    Tom Hardy's Fedora in Lawless

Thanks for everyones' help especially Bowlerman. My hat arrived yesterday from Mike at Northwest Hats. First I need to state that Mike and I discussed the specs of the movie hat and I changed many of them so that the hat would suit me more. I also wanted the hat to like like the scenes when it...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Some amazing hats over the last few days. Here's a really quick camera phone shot of my latest hat from Northwest Hats, a hat in the style of Tom Hardy's fedora in 'Lawless'. I changed some of the specs to suit me, and went for what is probably a lighter colour than the actual hat in the...

    Banjo or Coober

Funnily enough I have been pondering the same question in the last week or so. I am looking for some sun protection on a tour of Turkish archeological sites later this year. I settled on the banjo.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

MoK - My parents live in Kent, I spent my first 18 years there. I see some of the villages near where they live are having problems. Hopefully the weather will improve soon. I'm from west of the Medway so if I remember correctly that makes me a former Kentish Man.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Fantastic hats, and I'm loving the hats in the snow pics, it makes a pleasant change from the rain we're getting. We've also just received a flood warning (I live near the Thames and it has become really swollen with all the rain and the river is still tidal here so come high tide.... Our...
