Some great hats today, David your hat in particular looks outstanding. I know you have posted it before but the black cherry in that photograph really stands out.

Thanks for sharing everyone. This is my favourite thread. It's great to see adventures from around the world.
Dale looks like a great day. It's these family adventures you remember. it seems like only yesterday that my daughter sat in my arms like that, next year she'll be going to college...
I love that workshop, looks very interesting.
BJ I can't help equating a brown fedora with adventure.
Ok some of you kind souls asked for more and so here you go!
After Tlos we visited the Saklikent Gorge. I only had my phone camera, I was scared I'd drop my SLR into the mud/water so...
Yes brown or grey, but if only one then grey, oh hang on...no brown, no grey, definitely grey, oh...I can't decide, but definitely one of them, oh hang on what about silverbelly...!
I think I see now why I have so many hats!
Love those cars.
I'm just home as well after a couple of weeks in SW Turkey, an area rich in history and with the most amazing Turquoise seas.
These pictures were taken whislt visiting the ancient city of Tlos, originally a major city in the Lycian League later occupied by the Greeks...
A 'Cav' edge is my favourite style, but as you say the ability to create one has been lost to time, and an overwhelt has something of the same look and is the best that can be done to reflect that style today. Personally I think a raw edge looks unfinished, and is best on a working or adventure...

Thanks T Jones.
I took this after a walk through the Surrey Hills and as I went to cool my feet in the sea I dropped my kit on the beach haphazardly but on returning I thought it made a nice composition.
The hat is from Mike at Northwest hats and is a generic Indy hat. I know there are...
There is also Advintage hats in Germany. Thomas specialises in 'Indy' hats. He has some new beaver felt that is amazing, I believe it comes from Portugal.

A disappointing display of hats, though there were one or two nice panamas. The forecast hat predicted rain so I wore a VS light weight felt. In fact it was dry all day so should have worn a panama.
Outside Centre Court on the way to lunch.

It a VS Silvermist. It was ravaged by moths last year, once I got over the disappointment, I began to wear it more and more as I was no longer worried about getting it stained. After all a light coloured hat seems to be a magnet for dust and dirt. It also no longer felt like a formal hat. It...
Hi All
I've been very busy these last few weeks so mainly been lurking on this forum as the chance arises.
No time to comment on all the great hats, but T Jones, fantastic work on the Akubra, I really like your take on the 'Dillinger' fedora.
A quick shot from father's day. My family...
