Looks great, love black cherry. That dress weight looks darker than previously, more like the feather weight. Is that the case do you know. I know how hard the colour is to capture in photographs.
Anyway it's a fantastic hat.
Granite is actually quite hard describe, it's definitely grey, but perhaps more towards mid grey in hue. However it certainly has some earth tones. I think it would suit a dark ribbon. I think there may be some examples on Mike's Facebook page.
Thanks, the brim is 2 1/4", open crown is around 6", I like a deep diamond bash. It takes a dry crease really well. Just like vintage. The ribbon is around 1 3/4.
GregNYC - you will not be disappointed.
I have a Wested Indiana Jones style leather jacket on sale on ebay:

Shipping to the US is probably uneconomic, but I would consider it if the buyer is willing to pick up the cost.
Thanks for looking...
Oh no that's done it. That felt/colour combination is just so spot on. My determination not to buy another hat this side of Christmas is just so blown out of the water. Oh well at least I know it's for an exceptional reason. These opportunities need to be grasped with both hands!.
Wow G Durand, I have long since run out of superlatives for these felts, but that hat is truly beautiful. Absolutely incredible.
(Expletive deleted) I wish I could afford one!!!
I'd really love to get one of those 'new' old felts,it I've already allocated budget for this year. I wonder if there will be any left next...
Landman that hat looks..., well I can't think of the right adjective, but delicious comes closest!
