That's well spotted. A lot of early woollen work style jackets were unlined. I have one Cushman repro that is like this. I guess it should be an option especially if maximum authenticity is desired. Most new buyers would likely prefer theirs lined though. Correcting the zipper pull is an easy fix.
THe vest is matt black with side lacing. The breast panels are more knobbly and the whole vest looks quite attractive if on the wild side. From a safety POV quite impracticle though.
A guy who works for me had a crocodile vest made in Thailand for about $400. He wears it on his bike which also has a custom made crocodile skin seat. The vest looks more wearable than a jacket but is all for show. Of course he rides a tricked up Harley with all the adornments.
Whole kangaroo...
I guess market accessibility has a price. I have bought and sold things that may have been near impossible without Ebay access. And they are still nowhere near as bad as auction houses who gouge both buyer and seller and charge both the buyer and seller 20% or more each on every item sold.
Here is a page from the Waldes vintage zipper catalogue. Don't know who may stock these but they have a vast selection.

You should make it worldwide shipping in your listing. This jacket is of limited enthusiast appeal and will have just as big a market worldwide. The rest of the world will not see your listing.
Yeah, probably wishful thinking but I will for sure order one at 350. I like wool jackets that are styled on classic leather jackets. Cushman from Japan have made some limited edition beauties.
That's good to hear. I will be putting my order in when officially for sale. I hope they offer both the red and green. At this stage more likely to go for the green though I will be happy to buy the red one also.
A comparison of the label used by Good Wear and Kalev's jacket. Both are identical in every detail. I know Mark Fisher sourced his capeskin from John Chapman a while back and I believe he does not put size labels in his jackets. I have two of them with no size labels including one made of...
Not a 100% sure but I believe Good Wear may have tried out a few variations of this jacket in the past. Could also be made by Norshor's Mark Fisher. That reptilian cape skin looks like the type used by both a while back.
One thing about A2 jacket contracts is that the earlier ones have more refined detail and complex construction whilst many of the later ones are simplified as much as possible due to wartime necessity. That may be a consideration for some.
